Welcome - you have landed on Eagles' page!

We are learning about our local area this term and we've started off by thinking thinking about a very topical and contentious issue - building on our nearby Green Belt land.  How do you feel about this?  Have a look at the thoughts and opinions offered in this video.

#OurGreenBelt: The countryside next door

Green Belt means so many different things to so many different people. For 30 million of us, it's our countryside next door. Despite Green Belt's protected status, there's a constant threat of development while suitable brownfield sites go unused. Green Belt shouldn't be dismissed lightly; people have a deep bond with their local countryside.

Mrs Haddon is reading: Holes by Louis Sachar

Has anyone else read this book?  I've never read anything else like it! It's about a boy in a detention centre where the inmates dig holes all day, every day.  But...why?  What are they looking for? I can't wait to find out.  What are you reading today?

We have learning how to use colons in our grammar work.  To sharpen your grammar skills, head on over to Purple Mash and test yourself with some of the 2Do activities there. Some of them are quite challenging.  Looking forward to seeing if you can beat the teacher's score. Here's the link: https://www.purplemash.com/sch/richard-cm23
