Outdoor Learning Day
On Thursday 20th June the whole school took part in Outdoor Learning Day. Reception and Nursery spent time together. They looked at the land art of Andy Goldsworthy and then went off for a walk through the forest area collecting interesting objects. When we came back the children worked in small groups and created their own land art in their hoop using what they had found! We all had a great time and made some really interesting art!
Today was an exciting day! As part of our People who help us theme we had a visit from the fire engine! We looked at the outfit firefighters wear when they go to a fire, we saw all the equipment on the fire engine and we went inside the fire engine to have a sit in the cab and look at all the equipment the fire fighters need! The firefighters even put the sirens on - they were really loud!
In our classroom we have been watching the tadpoles change into frogs. Today was an amazing day, we let the froglets go in the wildlife garden to start their adventure! We held the froglets before putting them in a special pond that we made whilst they get ready to go off into the grass.
