I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Headteacher of Richard Whittington Primary School. Having visited on a number of occasions and from speaking to the governors, staff and children I know that this is an exciting time for the school. I can already see that the children are a real credit to you, hungry to learn, full of life and ready for the fun filled challenges ahead.
A great deal of work has already taken place this year on our journey of progression and growth. With strong commitment from staff and governors, there is a real desire to continue to build upon the work that has already taken place with the aim that the children achieve their full potential.
From my experience of being a Deputy Headteacher for 11 years, I know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together. I strongly believe in an open-door policy where a positive, open dialogue can take place for the benefit of the children and the school. Parents make an important contribution to children’s achievements, and I want to continue to develop the relationship between the school and parents for everyone’s benefit.
