Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. Pupil premium funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, such as special schools and pupil referral units. It is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who have been:

  • registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years; or
  • been in care for 6 months or longer.
Parents who have pupils on free school meals are welcome to discuss with the Headteacher any further support that might be able to be provided for their children. Parents who think they might qualify for free school meals should contact the office staff for a confidential discussion or seek information from the Herts County Council website.

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding. This is reviewed annually.
