Nursery times

Operating hours are between 8:30am and 3:30pm each day, with additional hours costing £5.00 per hour. Flexible sessions are available, bookable in advance (termly).

Funding 

At Richard Whittington Primary and Nursery School we have 15 hour, 30 hour and 35 hour places available. The distribution of the hours is flexible across the operating times. This could be mornings, afternoons, whole days or a combination of the options. Allocations will be made in line with the schools admissions criteria.

 

  • All 3 and 4 year olds can get 15 hours free early education (FEE) (570 hours per year). You can use these from the term after your child turns 3.
  • Some 3 and 4 year olds can get an extra 15 hours childcare, this is known as 30 hours free childcare.
  • You can use your 15 or 30 free hours at Richard Whittington Primary and Nursery School.

Nursery applications

Nursery pupils can start the term after they become 3 years old.

The School now deals with Nursery applications internally.  Applications can be made by clicking the nursery admissions link below.  Applications for nursery places in September 2020 open on Monday 27th January 2020 and close on Friday 13th March 2020 at 3:30pm.

Nursery pupils can attend full time (30 hours per week) or part time (15 hours per week).
