Home School Agreement
At our school, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential in enabling every child to achieve and thrive. This Home–School Agreement sets out the shared expectations between the school, parents and carers, and pupils, supporting a culture of high expectations, positive behaviour and effective learning.
Through clear communication, mutual respect and a shared commitment to excellence, we work together to ensure that all pupils feel safe, are well supported, and are able to succeed both academically and personally.
School Agreement
We will do our best to:
- Provide a safe, supportive and caring environment to support your child’s wellbeing and safety built on positive relationships
- Support and encourage your child to reach their full potential
- Assess your child’s progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers
- Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all children
- Promote high standards of behaviour to maintain a safe and positive environment
- Support children to develop responsibility, accountability and strong self-esteem
- Set regular homework to support and reinforce learning
- Provide opportunities for parents and carers to engage in school life
- Communicate effectively through newsletters, emails, the school website and text messages
- Respond to communication from parents and carers in a timely manner, in line with school policies
- Promote good attendance and work with families to address concerns where necessary
- Provide high quality first wave teaching to all pupils
Parent/Carer’s Agreement
I/We will do my/our best to:
- Ensure our child attends school and on time, avoiding holidays during term time, and notify the school of any absence
- Ensure our child is dressed in the correct uniform and PE kit when required
- Work in partnership with the school to support our child in maintaining high standards of behaviour
- Encourage our child to try their best and participate fully in all aspects of school life and the curriculum
- Share any concerns that may affect our child’s wellbeing, behaviour or learning with the school
- Communicate respectfully at all times and direct queries to the appropriate member of staff
- Support our child in completing homework on time and raise any issues with their teacher
- Read and follow school policies, including the school’s parent code of conduct
- Attend parent meetings and work collaboratively with the school to achieve the best outcomes for our child
- Read communications from the school and respond when necessary
- Park considerately and safely, showing respect for the school community and neighbours
- Use social media responsibly and respectfully, including not sharing images or videos of other pupils without permission and in line with school guidance
- Not use mobile phones on the school grounds
Child’s Agreement
I will do my best to:
- Listen carefully to adults and follow the school expectations (Ready, Respectful and Safe)
- Arrive at school on time each day and be ready to learn
- Always try my best
- Wear the correct school uniform and bring my PE kit when needed
- Read regularly at home and at school
- Be kind and look after my friends, my classroom and the school environment
- Complete my homework and return it on time
- Look after school equipment and take pride in my school
- Behave safely and responsibly on the way to and from school
- Not use mobile phones on school grounds (Y5+6)
