Year 5 and 6 Holocaust Workshop
UKS2 Holocaust Workshop - 25th November 2022
Today we focused on life in Berlin, Germany during the 1930s. We explored the life of ‘Leo’ based on recounts from survivors of the Holocaust. We discovered that there were 2,000 laws imposed on Jewish people despite them accounting for 1% of Berlin’s population and that 6,000,000 Jews were murdered under the Nazi regime from 1938-1945. We also learnt about Kristallnacht and Kindertransport. We then focused on anti-Semitism and the impact on society today.
